About me

Elisa da Silva is a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, a place full of natural beauty. Instead of a brush, she uses the surrounding resources, from water tides, beach sand, wind, live oak trees and storms to create her paintings. She also uses the sounds of pure isochronic tones. music and mantras to reveal forms without the interference of ego.

Her watercolors are an investigation into the inherent expression of sound and the energy fields of nature and self. This results in depictions of multiple realities and potentialities.

The artist currently lives and works in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Artist Statement

I believe that Mother Earth is the greatest artist alive. If we become aware and open, she can express herself in the purest, beautiful ways through us. We become her channel of love.

By allowing nature or sound to control the paint, I allow myself to see multiple possibilities in every creation. Meditating on each work, I outline my interpretation of what was expressed. Though I find each person views it through a personal lens that rarely matches my own,   I believe each is correct.
